This exceptional original antique bureau has been completely restored, bringing its remarkable marquetry and craftsmanship back to its original beauty. Created in the Maggiolini tradition, the bureau is richly decorated with intricate geometric inlays composed of contrasting wood veneers across the fall front, sides, drawers and writing surface. The locking fall front opens to form a generously sized writing surface and reveals a beautifully fitted interior with four small drawers, open compartments and additional storage. Below, the gracefully shaped case provides multiple drawers while allowing the elaborate marquetry patterns to continue uninterrupted across the facade. Curved sides, a carved apron and slender cabriole legs complete the elegant silhouette.
